What was respawn time before? If more drones are popping through the course of the game, that will change how effective skipping mid is.Favor

It was 27:00. Two parties attacking Manor / Markets would have enough time to down who ever was there and head to mid after.

so…

Drone: 28:59 / 24:59 / 20:59 / 16:59

Node: 20:00 - 18:00 (Seems about the same to me.)

Drones and Node will not be up at the same time anymore. By time the Node pops, the drones should be damn near gone or gone altogether.

I say: We skip mid and have Mael and Flames go at it up there while taking their OP. In a perfect world that's a 5 cap and will boost up our numbers.

Or: Continue playing the way we played over the weekend. Most of the time we were 400/500+ points over mael and flames.

Drones were every 3 minutes, now they are every 4 minutes, also, node has more health and will take longer to go down, but has a tighter spawn window of 2 minutes instead of 3 minutes.
To me, this makes mid even less useful than before. I've learned from many matches over the weekend that if we stick to flag capping/killing enemies strategy we will be much better off than to even bat an eye at mid.

Wow, pvp armor is now actually REALLY good. I'm looking over the list for paladin and there's now a chest and weapon that give CRIT/DET now that they've changed morale.

Definitely worth revisiting this list and updating your gear as needed

Ok, potential gamechanger here:

This is the new i70 tank chest

http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/playguide/db/item/f5fbc8c7fe2/

It has determination and skillspeed on it, plus 10 morale. The extra 10 morale upgrades it to i80 in frontlines. I'm not 100% sure how materia works in frontlines, but I believe you might be able to meld materia and have it work as long as the item you meld it on is i80 or below. If this is the case, you can add some CRIT and Accuracy materia to this chest and it MAY work in frontlines. I need to re-check the frontlines message to see if all materia is ignored, or if only materia on i90 or above is ignored…

This is super easy to test, I just need to buy the chest, test it with a crit + 2 materia, and I can remove the materia after and re-meld if necessary.

This could be a RIDICULOUS gamechanger and the mere thought of this is getting me super excited even though I'm going to have no money soon after this. I REALLY wish I wasn't at work!

Unfortunately, the ilv70 caster set is 90% designed for black mage with Spell Speed as its tertiary stat. In that situation, I'm not sure whether replacing my current PvE pieces (with SS on) for the better ilv90 pieces (without SS) is best.

Would be nice if they had some sort of device / tool to let us enter a capped ilv80 area to test out stats.

Yes. This! As well as show us what our stats are after entering the i80 gear sync.

BTW I queued for 2 hours for frontlines last night, looks like nobody's doing it now because they're all leveling rogue/ninja, hopefully it's better today

Hey guys, I figured out exactly how ilvl sync works and tested it out. I made a post about it on our subreddit, thought I'd copy/past it below to let you guys know as well!

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
OVERVIEW
Hey guys, I only recently found out exactly how i80 level sync works and I've been meaning to make a post about it.
When a piece of gear is above i80 and it syncs down to i80, the secondary stats are scaled down to whatever the stat cap is for that piece of gear. Through a little testing, I've found out these are the stat caps for each piece of gear, I have left parry out because it's worthless in pvp, but it is in the same category as skill speed/crit/etc…:

STAT CAPS
Weapons
Slot DET/PIE CRIT/SS/SpS/Acc
2h Wep 23 33
1h Wep 16 24
Shield 7 9

Left Hand Side
Slot DET/PIE CRIT/SS/SpS/Acc
Helm 13 19
Chest 21 30
Gloves 13 19
Waist 10 14
Pants 21 30
Feet 13 19

Right Hand Side
Slot DET/PIE CRIT/SS/SpS/Acc
Neck 10 14
Earring 10 14
Wrist 10 14
Ring 1 10 14
Ring 2 10 14

EXAMPLES
Ultima choker of slaying is i80 and gives 11 STR, 10 DET, 10 CRIT, because it's already i80 it does not get synced down, so those are the final stats.
The i110 Werewolf choker of slaying gives 18 STR, 13 DET, 13 CRIT, and 20 morale. First, in frontlines the +20 morale adds +20ilvls, so the choker is now i130 and gives 23 STR, 15 DET, 15 CRIT. This now gets sync'ed down to i80.
The STR goes from 18 to 11, the DET goes from 15 to 10, and the CRIT goes from 15 to 14, see the table below:

i80 synced Neck Pieces

Slot DET CRIT
i80 Ultima Choker of Slaying 10 10
i110 Werewolf Choker of slaying 10 14

Even though both neck pieces have the "same" sub stats (equal weighted DET and CRIT), the i110 werewolf choker is best in slot and gives an additional 4 CRIT over the Ultima choker. If you're trying to maximize your stats, it's the better option.

NOVUS/NEXUS
Your Novus/Nexus is the one piece of gear that you can really get the most out of. Due to the fact that you can customize the stats however you wish, if you really want to go the extra mile you can perfectly tune your relic to be the best in slot frontlines weapon.

As an example, as a warrior you need +22 accuracy in frontlines in order to hit the accuracy cap of 363. If you put 22 accuracy on your relic, 23 determination, and the remaining 30 points into crit, you now have the absolute best possible weapon for frontlines bar none. It's obviously a huge investment for a small gain, but if you're crazy like me and into this stuff, it's something to consider!!
I need to revise my best in slot list I made earlier with this updated info, but I definitely wanted to share this so you guys could start benefiting and planning your gear sets accordingly!

Hey Blubbers. This is really great info, thanks. Should be useful for people wanting to get the best out of every equip slot.

I haven't had time to run lately but hopefully we'll do some at the weekend.
